Which one of the OB owns this bad boy? I was behind you on the Evangeline Thruway yesterday afternoon.

I have to admit, I enjoy the ride on a pontoon, but hate not being able to get a breeze in your face this time of year because they go slow. If I had to have a pontoon I'd want it to do 45mph or so and this could make that happen.

80? On a pontoon?
I imagine that voids every life insurance policy ever written

We have a 24ft sun tracker with a 250

If you want to go anywhere of distance I wouldn’t want a smaller motor. Would be a pain in the arse

And no, the motor isn’t close to being more expensive than the boat

I've seen plenty of pontoons with 200's ad 250's. Not many with a 300 or multiples. I see them at bigger lakes, but not too much around here.

Yeh, anything more than 250 for a 24 footer is just gluttony

We can go 40mph easy. Going any faster than that on a pontoon is just dumb redneck ahit

When we looked at pontoons, we thought we were going to get a higher end of the line one.

But after walking on them it just didnt make sense at all. The only difference was the seats were covered nicer, the floor felt nicer, and the finishes were slightly better

There was absolutely zero funtional additions to the more expensive brands. And for a boat that will have kids eating and running around, and adults drinking on, it just made no sense

Now putting a larger more expensive motor is functional as it helps the performance of the boat

So it doesnt seem odd to me to have a nice motor on a more basic pontoon

a new 300 verado is listed around 20 k.

A new 24 Suntracker is listed at 33k with a 150 4 stroke. A new 150 4 stroke is around 13,

They would be about equal value or pretty close.

I was speaking for the 250 we have on ours
