I don’t see any significant chance of rain in extended forecast either. Guess I’ll keep waiting.

I’m still waiting too. No point in putting it in the ground now. Pure dust .

I hope he didn't take my advice.

Though its so dry it the seed may be just laying there ready to go at the next rain.

Planting tomorrow, nothing but dust, but it is when I have time and help, seed will sit in the dust just the same as it will sit in a bag in the warehouse , last year it went 5 1-2 weeks before rain after planting and came up just fine , might loose a little nitrogen to the sun but I go heavy anyway

When is the clover coming up when y’all plant in late fall? I’m thinking about planting first week in November but haven’t planted clover before. Do you get enough growth to hunt over in December and January?

Late in the season

I’m planting it for that reason though. To feed the deer and turkey in stress months.

I planted and expected it to just sit in the dirt until rain but it actually germinated so now it’s probably beginning the petrified process.

Oh well, I’ll throw some more out ahead of the next rain and see what happens.

I planted Nov. 12 last year because of the drought and all of my plots were terrible so swore I would never plant that late again. But with no rain in the 10-day forecast I'm starting to wonder if this year won't be a repeat.

I'm in Wilkinson Co. west of Centreville.

So depressing. Might just store my seed in barrels and plant maybe next fall? Lol

This is my plan.

I planted ahead of that one rain we had, got germination, and now getting smoked between no rain and deer eating the little bits that did sprout
