I have never fished lake decade but am wanting to try my luck at it this year. Was wonder when the specs start moving in. Heard the specs are on fire the right time of the year.

This will be the year I actually catch in Decade. I've tried and failed many, many times. In fact, I hate that lake.

you are the first person I have ever heard say they hate decade. everyone I have ever talked to does well when the spec start moving in. Have some guys from work that know it pretty good. Hopefully they will show me some spots.

The spots are in the middle of the lake, and sometimes on the edges.

Contraire to rumors, it's not always a sure winter bet.

I despise fishing it lately as too many people. its easily reachable by bassholes so the lake is a parking lot on the weekend. I will make an afternoon trip though usually do well and the crowd is minimal.

The only time I've ever fished decade was november of last year and the birds showed us exactly where they were. Rounded out the limit before and after in other spots but no doubt we could have done it all there if we'd been willing to sort through the small ones. I remember thinking this lake is easy.

I work shift work so hopefully I will be able to avoid the crowds during the week.

It's still crowded during the week. A lot of retirees and shift workers are off during the week. I like fishing there, but I don't like when it gets crowded

Hate to tell ya but It's packed during week too, not as bad but still crowded.

Guy I work with says he brings a couple loaves of stale bred, goes out away from everyone and crumbles them up and throws them out, when spots clear out as everyone jumps to chase the birds he gets his pick of a spot. dick move but pretty funny.

Decade: where you and 1000 of your buddies drift around and as soon as someone catches something, gets mobbed.
