No,not mine or anyone I know but the engine looks clean and if the hull is not delaminating, shite to get into a complete center console package for under $7000 seems pretty legit.

Looks like a good deal.

Did they leave it in the water? Dry dock?

Motor looks immaculate. I love the old yamahas. I think it's a pretty good deal if everything else is in good working order.

Not a problem.
I was hoping an OB'er would be able to get a decent boat for cheap.

I think it's a decent deal, not sure about a "Great" deal. I guess a lot depends on that motor and i'm no mechanic.

Might not be a bad deal but I'd have serious reservations about buying an 18 year old boat.

If the boat is in top shape i still would not pay a dime more then 5K.Most boats of that age require some repair. Keep in mind that if you bought this boat for the listed price and had to sink a grand or more in it, would you be able to get your money back or close to it ? hard to say, but the transom would be the biggest issue, then the motor.

A thousand dollar car ain't gonna roll until you throw at least another thousand in the hole. Sink your money in it, and there you are-the owner of a two thousand dollar thousand dollar car.

My opinion is that the type of client that could be possibly targeting that cheap boat could be his first boat. Usually people step up, not down and there's not too much down from that point. Being someone's first boat, me personally, I'd pay more for reliability being a little inexperienced. I'd rather drop another 6 grand for a better boat than 3 grand in repairs that you ain't getting your money out of a 20 year old boat.
