Looking for one for predator hunting.

I’m sure the two vets are really nice but want to keep it under $500 for just the tripod. I know the head will be additional.

Got mine at Academy for 125 ( on sale ). Shoot any rifle in it you barely feel any recoil.

Looked at those and they’re more than I’m wanting to spend.

Camera land has one that I want to call tomorrow and ask them about:

Cameraland

Would still need to buy a head but this thing is very light and very strong.
My concern is the height.
It’s 54.5” tall. I’m 6’4” so I’m afraid it would be too short.
Need to call and talk to Doug and see what he says.

Looks like a nice tripod. You’ll be much happier with something like that with the larger bowl/base than going with a Bog.

I just got the bog death grip less than a week ago. I haven’t used it to shoot yet, but have used it to bore sight a rifle. For the way I plan on using it, perfect. If I wanted something to take through the woods, I’d probably look for something a little lighter. That being said, it’s well built and rock solid.

I found one on amazon that could support the weight of my rifle and then bought a separate arca clamp. I think it was like $150 or so.

Works fine. I wanted to see how much Id actually use it before I bought a good one.

I dont use it really at all, but I havent gotten a chance to shoot in a while.

Called Camera land to talk to them and get their thoughts.

They actually talked me into a cheaper tripod for now. I ended up buying the Benro Tortoise with the Field Optics gun pod.

He gave me 10% off and free shipping. If you ever buy from them, it pays to call them.
