I put hydroturf. Got the adhesive backing and used 3M spray adhesive too. Went to Home depot and got a stripper called Kleen Strip, painted it on old glue and used a sheet rock knife to scrap. It burns if you get it on your hands.

After I stripped, went to car wash and cleaned floor, then put down turf

A steam cleaner will knock most of it out once you get the carpet up.

To Me Bite: Is safe floor something sold in stores or only something a company can do for you.

That came out nice!

Did that include carpet removal?

Did you pull the carpet and sand/grind the glue off too, or did Safe Floor do that?

I had to pull the carpet and prep the floor. I probably didn’t have to prep it as good as I did. They said they would get anything I missed. I just figured I get most of it off. Not gonna lie... it was a pain in the arse!

No, it’s a company. It’s recycled rubber granules mixed with an epoxy and troweled on. Many color options. I went 60% white, 30% gray and 10% black. This stuff is tuff and not hard on the feet. You can stand barefoot on it with no problem. You can also pressure wash it. Sea deck and hydro turf will not hold up to pressure washing, don’t care what they advertise.

I just recently pulled the carpet out of my bay boat. I went with Safe Floor of Louisiana. Really happy with the results. And it comes with a lifetime warranty.

Looking at going this route with my aluminum boat. How hot is that safe floor during the summer time? I want something that helps keep the temp down on my deck. I currently have that factory rhino line type stuff, and it is HOT.

Go with this stuff.

Took the carpet out of mine and put hydro turf in. Going on 3 years and absolutely love it.

I’m refurbishing a 10 year old go devil boat and ordered two mats to lay down. The stuff is great and really does stand up to a lot of abuse.

How old is your blazer? Did you put the safe floor on the floor as well or just the raised decks? Also is it soft to stand on?

I have been looking at line-x but have not pulled the trigger. I want a thick rubberized liner to take up some of the gap that not putting carpet back in will leave to avoid some of the rattling that other have gotten with thinner liners.
