2.75" #2, 3, or 4
2.75" #6 during teal season
I shoot an old Remington 1100, fixed choke and only chambers 2.75". Good enough

This.
I like HeaviMetal 3 in. #4 too, but they're too expensive.

I pretty much have the same attitude about my old 2.75" 870. Used a Benelli Nova this past teal season, though.

Are those legal for waterfowl? I've been intrigued by them and almost bought several boxes.

For those of you shooting 3.5 inch shells at ducks, why? Especially those shooting 3.5 inch #2s. Is it because you only have high pass shooting shots or something?

I wonder the same thing. Sound like a bunch of skyblasters who don't know how to shoot.

I've usually got 2 x3" first & a 3 1/2" for the ones trying to get away

I use the cheapest shells I can find in 3",#3 or #4 shot. Teal, I was using 2 3/4", #6 and waxed there arse.
Now late season, I will have a few 3 1/2" shells in BB shot.

They are definitely lethal on waterfowl.

I have since quit shooting them when I found out they were still considered "toxic" by the feds.

I use Federal blue box 3" # 2. Shoot several cases a year and have never been disappointed.

So YOU'RE the guy who's been going around buying up all of these shells. Those are my go-to standards and have been having a hard time finding them.

Thanks. I was curious about those shells, but don't want to get in a bind with Greenjeans.
