What method do you use to clean plastic wad residue from a choke tube?

How does the OB do this? I have heard of some people using Simple Green, or carb cleaner, or a pocket knife. My IC Crio Choke is getting a little gummy looking.

Mine might have 1" of plastic in them. I've never looked.

Towards the end of the season I just shoot a box of those cleansing shells or whatever they are called.

Brass brush on a battery drill. Soak in slip 2000 cleaner then have at it with the drill.
