My bolt action ruger .270 built in mag will sometimes stick, I shoot hornady, should I try a different bullet?, doesn't bother me since I rarely shoot more than once at a deer in the swamp

Bah, so many nice new 6.5s and even a 6.8. Let it die.

30-30 Marlin. First deer rifle my Dad ever bought me as a kid and I have killed every deer I have ever shot with it to this day. Lot's of sentimental value in that gun, and I have no plans to ever use another one the rest of my life.

Alx, I assume. Either that or the shoulder contour? Idk

Different rounds shouldn't effect it. The ones I've shot that dis it did it with anything I fed them. If you're only planning on one shot it's not a problem. If have pigs running all over a foodplot and you're tired of big corn bills, it's a huge problem.

I usually make sure I have at least two rifles ready to go just in case something happens to one of them during the season.

This year, the primary rifle will be an 6.5x55 built on an FN Mauser action with a 2x7 Burris.

The backup will be a Husqvarna 30-06 on an FN Mauser action in a Basner stock with a Weaver 4.75x Grandslam scope.

My primary gun is a LH Weatherby Accumark Ultralite in 300 WBY w/Swarovski glass..

I also have a LH Ultralightweight in 257 WBY I use from time to time and a LH Euromark in 416 WBY just in case an elephant from the local zoo escapes and needs to be put down.

I'm partial to Weatherby as they are one of only a handful of makers who markets to southpaws..

I bought my daughter one in 7mm-08 hell even I love it. The new Ruger triggers are very good, crisp and I would guess around 2 lbs

Do you have trouble finding ammo for your rifle? I have a co-worker trying to sell me his dad's old winchester model 70 in .264 win mag. Seems very similar ballistics wise to the 7mm remington mag.
