I've been wanting a Gamo. I haven't had one in a few years, but have had the urge to buy one recently. I had a roost of ringneck doves in my backyard all year and was wishing I had one.

I would like to try a gammo whisper. It is supposed to reduce noise close to 50%. Anyone have one?

Not sure, but I think the one I have is the same as the whisper w/o the muffler on the end. Mine is 1000fps with lead and 1250 with those lil special gold pellets.

Proud whisper owner right here. Seems to be pretty quite, neighbors haven't heard me shooting their cats yet.

This is what I have with a scope. Expensive as all hell, but get the right pellet and it will never miss.

The Gamo 3x9 scope they come w/ is junk IMO. Never stayed true and the adjustments were wack. We were having to turn the equivalent of 5+ feet at 100yrds to adjust up 2/3 inches at 20 yards. Thing was wack.

Did you get a different scope for it?

IDK, I bought one for my Dad last year for Christmas, the boys and I dialed it in at the deer lease, and there are 100+ SBR squirrels (and counting) that think the scope is pretty damn accurate. After shooting pumps for awhile, he loves the crackbarrel. The squirrels, not so much.

The rifle is accurate. If I could take pictures I would show you 60ft groups that Attest to the rifle's ability.

The scope however was an impediment to my ability to get the most out of the rifle. It slid back over time and I was always having to rezero it. The worst was when the scope finally went blurry. At that point I was done with it.
