I love you guys suggestions and recipes, all I have to o fifer is bearded clams...raw, can't beat it.

Elk roast is hard to beat but I only get it on rare occasions.


Deer is hard to beat for me. Fried backstrap is one of my favorites and I'm not much on fried foods.

A good roast from a young deer cooked in a black iron pot with some potatoes and carrots is delicious as well.

I had some elk and maple breakfast sausage a few months ago.....holy frick it was some of the best stuff ive ever had.

Best piece of wild game I ever had was doe backstrap from Pike County, Ill, that my buddy brought to throw on the grill. Cooked it medium-rare with just pepper on it. Deer from there are incomparable to what we have.

Smoked wild hog
Teal, wood duck, Wigeon, and gadwall are all fine eating ducks
Wild turkey cut into nuggets and fried
Squirrel fried or cooked in gravy
Fried deer steak or rolled up with jalapeno in the middle wrapped in bacon and grilled
Deer bacon burger grilled
Wild Salmon smoked
Tuna sushi or steaks grilled
Rabbit gumbo
Fried rabbit
Fried wild quail
Fried wild frog legs not the crap you get in restaurants.
Dove grilled wrapped in bacon with jalapeno in the middle
Grilled squirrel wrapped in bacon

i love some fried backstrap topped with white gravy and a biscuit.

love some damn grits topped with smothered doves/onions/peppers

fried rabbit

fried catfish/bream/perch/etc
