Catching, I have a Spotted Sea Trout fetish lately. I don't count anything as fishing fetish if you cant catch it on a pole you can palm. big fish are fun but they can't be a fetish. you cant catch yellowfin all day and get up tomorrow and catch them all day again. and then if you want to, go the next day as well.
Eating, tuna, trigger, sac a lait, specks, sheephead. in that order. only tuna in a restaurant. a good restaurant.

I have never been able to finish a plate of garballs...gotta be at the bottom of my list.
Catching: anything in the Gulf or steelhead out west.
Eating: amberjack, sablefish, specks, blackened redfish/black drum, grilled sockeye

I assume someone must do it right since I run into folks in the Delta on a regular basis who rave about the stuff. However, it is three strikes and you're out with me and I will just have to say "been there, done that and not likely to do it again."

Flounder to me is by far the best tasting fish to me trout and blue cat are two and three
