Yepp. Usually under a cork or Carolina rigged with like 5 ft of leader.

I have every color of the rainbow in jig heads but it generally seems that the yellow head works more often than not. If you want to spend a bit more. Spring for the Panfish Assassin jigheads. they are like razors and very tough. I have caught many trout that would straighten a normal 1/16 or 1/32 jig. Another trick is to rig 1 lead with a 1 size heavier jig. Seems to not tangle as much and you can get a little longer cast.

Interesting. I just started using those flukes for The White perch last year. They love those things.

Any particular advantage to having a 5' leader? 18 to 24" works fine for me.

I guess I should say. I usually fish deep water. I just feel like it gives a more natural look to the bait when your poppin it.

I have never tried them for white perch ironically enough. I may have to give them a go. Also, try the Fin-s from Lunker City. They seem to work just a tiny bit better.

Not reading all 6 pages to see if it's been posted but my favorite bait to throw is voodoo shrimp. I caught way more fish than everyone else last trip and the shrimp has Kevlar in the tails so they don't get bitten off. A must have for salt water.

Spillway Sportsman has a big assortment of Vudu shrimp and I believe they were like $5/pack.
