What marsh are you fishing? Marsh bass fishing is my absolute favorite. White, blue, and chartreuse humdingers are the tits.

saltwater. been hitting up leeville to reggio/delacroix to hopedale/ biloxi marsh.

I have yet to catch a bass in the marsh. Apparently Lake Boudreaux used to hold bass but not anymore.

i don't do well with spoons. I like Black and chartruse swim baits over gold spoons. Maybe a Redfish Magic spinner bait but not just a gold spoon.

Agree with this statement.

I would also add a cast net / small Styrofoam chest to catch and keep live bait.

Nothing like spending about 15-20 minutes and ending up with a mixed box of cocahoe, mullet, shrimp and crab to start the trip off with.
