I fired one that a friend has. Downright savage!

My friend has one and his one word description is "violent."
OTOH, it's not as bad as the 475 Linebaugh he shot. He said the Linebaugh recoil is so bad it should be "outlawed" before someone gets hurt.

I have .44 magnum smith and Wesson that’s titanium. Very light. Got it just for lightweight carrying when elk hunting.
I’ve shot a desert eagle before and this light revolver hurts my hand more. So much recoil. I figured if I’m shooting a bear I’m only getting one shot off anyway, if any, so all that recoil and hurting and not getting a decent second shot off doesn’t matter to me in this situation.

Never fired one but I bought a S&W 500 4" barrel last year. Fun gun to bring to the range especially and indoor range. Every time you fire that first shot, guys are peaking around the stalls to see what the frick just happened.
And yes it kicks like a mule but I've got it dialed in pretty good. Just have to make sure you concentrate and bring the barrel tip all the way back down every time.
It does wear you out after a couple boxes though.
