Check out this mini bear I caught on camera for a few days. He would never go in the cage but I tracked his timing enough to be able to flip on the spot light one night and introduce myself...

I would love to have a baby coon they make great pets if you live in the country. They are very smart but can turn mean on you but by then they will usually run off and stay gone.

My uncle lived down on Manchac Bayou and had a half dozen or so coons as his pets. He had a doggy door that they would use and fed them dog food.

I kept one as a pet once. That lasted a day. Don't do what I did.

are they aggressive? I had one as a pet for about 5 years.Got him when his eyes were closed and had to bottle feed him.
I'll come by and get one if your wildlife people don't come by.

Does a bear shite in the woods? Hell yes coons are aggressive!!! You had a coon for 5 years and it never tore anything up? I never bottle fed one from birth but I cant imagine such a nasty tempered type of animal "changing it's stripes" that much without reverting back from time to time.

I dont have any experience with ones raised from babies but it just seems hard to think that they would make a good pet...

Mine was the best pet I've even had. He was never aggressive. After 5 years other coons started showing up for some freebies(don't they all)and he took a liking to a female and finally started living in the woods behind my house. I kept em fed for years with high protein kitten food.

yep,all the time. He used to actually climb into his old cage sometimes because that's where he was used to getting fed at.

My uncle had a pet coon for a while. It was cool as shite. Like a cat with a dog's attitude. He did start getting aggressive when he reached maturity, though. Never hurt anybody, but their maltipoo caught hell at times.

The maltipoo was actually considered a mutt at that point, this was before the designer dog craze. They actually got the dog for free.

I raised one for about 6 months until it became aggressive. They are fun as hell to raise and provide hours of entertainment. It still comes around the house every now and then.
