As long as you are baiting them you have no worries!

So, you jump all over the op for wanting to plant food for turkeys, because he is "baiting" as you say, and now you just admitted to killing one out of season?

What you're getting in the thread is equivalent to finding out you're going to have black grandkids.

How in the worl do u interpret my post as kilking one out of season zac??
I stated earlier i kill one maybe 2 a yr.
This yr the alabama season opens 3/14 while la opens 3/21
I surely hope i bag my one a yr and my gun is cleaned before 3/21 being as i will start hunting 3/14 at daylight and am off that whole week to start the bama season
I also am black and have black grandkids, so no dissapointment there jk

Oh shite, man i really do bait those, when we farmed sweet potatoes i would go get a truckload from the packing plant and cut them up And put them in the lake!!! But see there is millions of ducks in the state, only about 100,000 turkey!!!
Wait, what? It's ok to bait ducks but not turkey?

Because that is literally what your post said. You kill one before it opens up.

There is nothing wrong with putting some feed on your property to keep the turkeys in the area. If you hunt private land surrounded by neighbors it never fails that the turkey hangs out just across the line, probably because of bait.
I don't think anyone that enjoys turkey hunting wants to hunt over a bait pile. They just want to keep turkeys on their property so they are huntable.
Btw, turkeys LOVE wheat seed.
