What kind of block targets are y'all using? I've always kept a Morrel yellow jacket bag target at home. I recently switched to smaller diameter arrows that have a outsert collar on them. I have to push the arrow through and remove the tip and collar before pulling it out. It's a pain in the arse and practicing with it isn't fun.

For what the higher end block targets cost I'm hoping they'd last a few years. I have a rinehart triangle target that I use for broadheads. It's about shot out after 3 years. My targets usually stay outside since I try to shoot every day.

Considering this one but it says it has a woven core. I'm wondering if I'd have the same problem with it as I have with the bags. I'd prefer it to be at least 20"x20" since I suck at shooting a bow.

I shoot ALOT all year long so I built my own layered target using foam floor mats from Harbor Freight for about $50. I can shoot FP’s and BH’s.

it has lasted a couple of years before I just buy a couple of packs of floor mats and replace the center section.

I got the black hole target. Good for FP's and blades. No good for crossbows. I got the one that was supposedly good for crossbows but my CB bolt went strait through it shot from the front and buried the knock when shot from the side.

But bow only its been really great at a good price.

Yup that’s the ones. I slice them in half, stack them and compress with a scrap piece of plywood and ratchet strap.

If you're from Ferriday, you need to drive up to West Monroe and check out the West Monroe Sheriff's Office Shooting Range. They have a great archery range. It has a 12' shooting deck where you can shoot at animal targets and long range bags..

Check out their online video

Sheriff's Office page about the shooting range.

I've never shot bows out there, but have been paying $100 a year to go shoot my guns there for over a decade. Great way to spend a day. You can get off I-20 at the Well Road exit. They don't mind you bringing snacks & soft drinks in.

I love my Rinehart 18-1 Portable. It has taken some arrows and still looks new. You can sling it out in the yard and shoot whatever side it lands on.

My dad has one of those and I like it. I'm building a covered station to hang my target from and have a horse stall mat as a back drop. That's why I'm looking for a cube shaped target I can hang.

Rhinehart block, holds up great as long as you don’t leave it sitting in the sun. Fairly easy to carry around and throw in the back of the truck. They make one with a replaceable center but it has held up well for me even shooting broadheads, nothing makes it even halfway through so no more damaged fletchings.
