Or

Some not so uppity qualities and hobbies from a rural upbringing

I've been called Billy since birth. Doesn't get much more country than that.

Work in the city, but constantly find myself trying to figure out how I can get out of the office and on the water or in a blind.

The happiest and most excited days are when I'm hunting or fishing.

Unlike some "country" folk who need to call themselves rednecks to try and establish just how country they are, I won't try for none of that. I just like what I like, and that's a life in the outdoors away from the city and people. I never overlook a good sunrise, I like the simple things

I pee off my front porch (in mid city BR)

I have spent part of my life riding riverboats

I have a big arse beard right now

I have dipped on a daily basis, for a few short months of my life

I had checked cotton, bushhogged, guided hunts, worked for part stores, laid irrigation, drove tractors, foreman on marine construction site, thrown sporting clays, mowed yards, worked in grain elevators, all before the age 20.

I can skin any game animal, including gator now.

Im a pretty decent shot, especially with a shotgun

I drive a 4x4 with BFG AT

I have owned a bronco with camo exterior parts and rebel flags in multitude.

I have held my friends around the neck while singing Dinosaur by Hank Williams around the campfire

That's country.

My favorite smell in the world is that of bacon and coffee cooking on a wood fire.

Probably more country than anything else posted. Living simply, being able to make do and enjoying the outdoors no matter what it entails. It has nothing to do with your vehicle, beer, faith, house, acreage.

I'll tell you... I grew up in the country and still do this. An old man told me once that pissing off your porch is the definition of freedom. I have to concur.
