I am kind of new to these, what is the best way to fish, like slow rolling a spinner bait?

Won a club tournament on Grand Bayou near Coushatta, LA. Had never been before, it’s fun trying to catch em on a new lake!

hell yeah dude! That’s a big accomplishment. I would like the fish the Louisiana BASS Nation but I can’t stand how they run the tournaments.

Always wondered if we should bring the rods and fish after duck hunting. Seems like the answer is yes.

PAC is Point Aux Chene Wildlife Management Area. I launch in Larose on the Bourg Larose Hwy. It's about a 8-10 minute boat ride to the refuge. I catch crabs year round there.

Fished the HOB series tournament on Lake Seminole over the weekend. I was way out of my element since I'm a salt guy, but I like a change of pace every now and then. Prefishing on thursday and friday wasn't good at all. So much grass on that lake. Did run into Dean Rojas scouting for a tournament. I just didn't want to embarrass myself on saturday. Saturday I fished a new area I hadn't tried yet and I stuck two keepers early. Tried another area I didn't catch a fish at, but new some guys had done well and it payed off in the afternoon. Caught 3 with the biggest at 19' and I had a limit. Only 22 guys had a limit on day one out of 125 so I was sitting in 10th after day one. Day two my luck ran out. Got three fish and finished in 15th overall and missed a check by 2", but I had a good time and no regrets.

I'm fishing Media this year. Teams and individuals. We only caught 3 fish Sunday for right at 5 lbs. Not a good showing. Fish for me are acting funny. Just a tap and they drop it. I did catch a 5+ pre fishing but couldn't get her to bite on tourney day.

thanks for the update racer...

I know you won't struggle long before figuring it out...

Sunday I found some fish stacked up like cord wood on the bottom of the river in 24'...
I threw everything I had at them and couldn't get a bite...
had a jig that was actually bouncing off the fish and they would not hit it...
only thing I didn't throw was a drop shot...was so frustrated that I didn't even think of it...

What is it about that thunder jig you like over say a jackhammer or another charter bait I found that I like is made by buddha company?

Thunderjig has a better hook, unique chatter, made locally by Delta Lures $6 compared to $20.
Jack Hammer is an awesome bait and I throw them as well. They're different.
Fred and Roy at Delta will build any color combination I want.
Z-Man will not do that.

Rhett they're ran no different than any other circuit. Always some BS to deal with.
This year I had to fish Miss since I missed the spring qualifier in La.
I'm prolly gonna fish both states this year.
2 day pro/co format.
