reds and trout in the Biloxi Marsh out of BSL saturday on Diesel's new 24 Blue Wave. I've really come to hate Pitre on the weekends. So many dumbfricks that get right on top of you the second you put a trout in the boat. I think I'm going to stick to getting in the marsh away from everyone and chase the reds

The amount of greed involved with fishing is ruining the experience

Took little balla out to Sabine and forgot the worms at home but I tied on a beetle spin and got to let him reel in a little mess of bluegill, plus a goggle eye, a chinquapin, and a white perch.

Been that way for years. I stopped fishing Pitre or Flatboat altogether on the weekends. Once somebody hears that some trout have been caught at Flat then all hell breaks loose. I blame it on all the people from Long Beach/Gport who trailer over, launch, and make a beeline straight for it.

Since Katrina it’s seems as though the number of guides on the water has quadrupled

Went down to the ranch to fill protein feeders, set snares and what not. It was hot. Killed a pretty big rattler right below the house.

Got a few what should be decent bucks on cam

Having a slow day out on Matagorda Bay right now with Larry Gooseman, still enjoying the day on the water.

yup. I didn't fish it a single time last year because we were catching limits of reds so quick deep in the marsh. Figured we would try and get some early trout on Saturday. We were the first boat there around 5:15ish but the second that sun broke it was like a boat parade coming out of Gulfport.
