Long time married, and live in the middle of nowhere.. Really though, I thought she was pretty on the show, and had a good attitude. I've got one that will be 6 years old in few months, I hope she will be more like that, than like my oldest daughter.

Serious question: how's Swamp People fake?
Having alligator hunted before, I can tell you its nothing like that show besides the way they bait the hook. When you pull up to a line down, you slowly pull the line up and shoot when the gator’s head breaks water. No thrashing and splashing gators or drama. Over in a few seconds. They agitate the gators intentionally to make for better TV footage. Then other plot points like “trespassers” or competitions are all setups by the producers

The show is made to market to Yankees that don’t have a clue.

I remember seeing an episode where Junior (or whatever the skinny blonde guy’s name is) went out catching snakes to make ends meet. He supposedly got drunk/fricked up because of all the water snake bites. Dumb shite like that, and don’t forget how every time they shoot an alligator on the line water blows 7’ in the air.

Yep, I deal with a lady in my industry from Rock Hill Ny that doesn’t miss a show and believes it’s fact. Have sent her pics of us hunting them and she thinks I’m a modern day Tarzan.

It’s funny how they market it. I’m happy for them. It sucks being a wild trapper right now. Price per foot sucks, tags at times cost more then what you can get per alligator. Only solution I see is put quotas on the farms so that he price per foot stays level and not drop. I see more alligators now then I ever did. A few weeks ago I saw two over 11 in lake Des allemans and I wasn’t even trying. Don’t get me started on Point la hache. That place has more 10+ footers then I’ve ever seen in my life.

On a side note, I really wish they’d have an open season on gators around July/August. Those frickers harass the hell out of us while we’re fishing.
Would like to have a chance at harassing them back without getting cross- threaded with green jeans.

Bet those reptiles would evolve with the quickness if we could blast a few of them when they’re chasing corks.

Nah, the last thing I am interested in, is that kind of stuff. I like women who don't worry about make up and glamor pics. The ones that will just put on a baseball cap and jeans and are ready to go, that's the ones I like.

I was in Bayou Black about a month ago and every spot I fished you could walk across the canal on them. They were everywhere and some were huge. Saw plenty 12+footers.
