Google maps suggests it doesn't get river water anymore, even when it's high...so that's a bummer.

Yeah it will not get run-over like Bickham does.

It is a beast in itself this year, last year was much more active.

Trying to think of anything South of Diamond Jacks along the river.....Roughly how far south?

ETA: Off of Clyde Fant? 2 small spots close to each other?

Correction: NORTH of Diamond Jacks. South of that other one. It's right between the two. Looks gator-ish on google earth.

There are too many other productive bodies of water in/around Shreve/Bossier for me to waste my time on Wallace. Pool 5 by the L&D, Pool 4 by L&D 5, Caroline, Cross, Caddo, Kepler, Grand Bayou, Bisteneau, Cypress, Black Bayou Hosston, etc... all within 1.5 hrs, most much closer than that.

True statement, but I can be loaded up and on the water within 15 minutes of leaving the house.

Touche. And on a windy day, its a lot easier to deal with than the more open bodies of water.

I talked to a guy who went on Wallace after the hail storm . Said there were dead floating fish by the thousands. I want to give Wallace a try but have all the salvania I can handle on Clear Lake! I tried Caroline a few Saturdays ago , no luck! My impression is high pressure on that body, but will def go back!

It seems to be dying down each time I go, hopefully the newness has worn off. Its a finnicky son of a bitch on a good day though.

The Board of Commissioners over Clear Lake is working with the State to drain the lake, but unfortunately all the red tape is hard to cut!

I am afraid the same thing is going to happen to Caroline with the daily trailer traffic in and out of it.

Clear Lake is fricked, they are going to have to do something crazy to revive it, that thing looks like a football field.

GSU, I assume you are at Barksdale? Do you fish at Flag or any of the ponds?

Have you thought of getting a kayak to get you in the water and off of the bank?
