Taking the girlfriend to Tunica Hills this weekend to go hiking; neither of us have ever been there before. We thought it'd be something new and fun to do.

Any of you guys ever been before? Any ideas on what to bring? Other things to do besides hiking? Just trying to have an idea before going this weekend

Bring lots of water and tick spray. Gonna be hotter than balls out there. Maybe try spring

Probably going to be pretty wet. Wouldn't be a bad idea to grab some trail shoes. Bring a backpack and fill it with water and some snacks. The waterfalls should be nice right now.

Enjoy!

Gonna be hot as hell. Advise her to dress light....Maybe a white tank top. Then the following will be even more true.

The heat isn't that bad but I would probably go to Clark Creek (just around the corner in Woodville) and walk in the water and enjoy the waterfalls if you think the temps are going to be too bad. As others have suggested bring water, snacks, and bug spray.

Bring something (tick dust or whatever) for the ticks. They are pretty bad in summer there if you're say, wearing shorts and no big spray but if you prepare for it you shouldn't get any on you at all.
