I just bought a brand new War Eagle 2170 dual console aluminum boat. With the Dual console obviously I don't have any kind of Rod storage for my trolling rods and I don't want them just laying on the floor in the boat. I'm looking for some ideas for some kind of storage to make utilizing the track rail system.

Congrats on the new boat. I’ve seen a War Eagle from afar and it looked damn nice. How about a few pics?

Go ahead and learn me up on these things you call trolling rods and what you’re trolling for. I’m sure your fishing in StL differs from south LA.

I understand if you’re doing those Ozark things that you can’t discuss on the net.

I'd suggest something similar to this:

Rail mount systems can also be installed that are adjustable so you can either use them for upright storage or angled for trolling angles.

Sorry I should have been a little bit more specific my rods are 16 ft trolling rods for spider rigging crappie. I travel all over the place fishing for Crappie between Kentucky, Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama, So I'm looking for something I can make for transporting down the road and on the water. If I knew how to post pictures on the Forum I would

The Driftmaster Rod Locker is built for this exact purpose and what you need. I'd call them and discuss your specific setup to see if they recommend some mods based on your boat, etc...

Thank you I'll have to give him a call because I didn't want the rods laying on the floor of the boat getting all tangled up driving down the highway or to the fishing spot

Thank you I got a really good deal on it because the motor was a leftover 2017 Evinrude motor that they had at the dealer so I got it for 10 grand off. Originally my plan was I was going to buy the hull and trailer put my rebuilt 125 horsepower engine on it but for 6,000 more I got this boat with a lot more options. this boat also has the big catfish Livewell in the back too

Here is my War Eagle 1860. I am currently running the driftmaster rod rack, I had a Creekslick upright rod rack also, but it got in the way and I took it off, but they work good too.

I get a panic attack seeing all those rod holders.

How do yall catch a fish without all the lines getting all tangled up?

Its not that bad, we get tangled every once in a while, but not much, just gotta steer the fish, if you can. The worst is when you get in a school of hybrid barfish, and all rods go off at once, that gets bad. And pulling crankbaits, when you hook into a big catfish or gar, they gonna all get tangled. Just gotta get used to it, and constantly watch rods. Stumps on Darbonne can be a bitch too.

Great hull. I fished a friend,s War Eagle Blackjack 960. Flat out sacaulait machine. Go to Grizzly Jig Co. Website. They have the rod holders shown. Great people to call and deal with. Will keep your tips from tangling and breaking.

I'll have to check them out I know Millennium wants 200 dollars for their rod storage system thought that was pretty high

I’m rigged out with the millennium rod rack on my WE. They are expensive but really well made.
