Only a skunk today. Kind of nice to not have anything to skin today. Think I'll take the day off and go catch a few rainbows.

Saturday
Took a new trapper and his son with me today. Neither one had ever caught any coyotes and wanted to see if I could teach them. My son decided to tag along. Forgot to take pics at the first stop that had a coyote and a skunk. Here is a pic of a nice double.

Here is his little man getting to lay his hands on his first coyote.

Ended up with 3 coyotes and a skunk. After the first 7 checks, now 8 predator traps out and I've had 9 coyotes, a bobcat, 3 coons and about a million possums.

Sunday- Rained all night last night, will have to fix a bunch of sets in a day or so when the rain stops. Just going to process deer and watch the end of football tonight.

I'll repost my beaver which was trapped out of necessity rather than hobby. First time I've ever done it but I'm feeling more like Id like to turn it into a hobby.

NEA around a little place called Hoxie. Headed to the hills next week. Thint 30 miles west of Jonesboro.
Is there any interest in a tutorial for tapping? I could do water or land.

I am an amateur to trapping, so forgive me, but when you say a predator line or running a line, do you mean a (Line in your mind ) through the woods?

the term "trap line" generally refers to a trail or route throught he woods that you set traps along....

predator line would be a route through areas that animals (predators) like fox, coyote, and bobcat frequent as opposed to a line set along water body for coon, mink, etc.....

What kind of traps are you using? I've been trapping beaver almost all my life, wanting to expand into some predator trapping.
