Tool Needed to remove drain plug - pic incl

I’ve got several galvanized water troughs I use for gardens. I put holes in the bottom for drainage but one must be clogged. What type of tool is required to remove this type of drain plug? Never seen it before.

How wide is it? You could probably put a 1/2 drive extension in there.

Find an oil bulk plant near you and they will fix you up.

I have done it with two crescent wrench’s,, six inch with jaws closed inside the bunghole. Use the second wrench to turn the six inch.

I’ve also used 2 flat screw drivers on opposite ends of the bung. Hold them together with one hand. Then take a third screwdriver and put it between them perpendicular and turn.

That almost looks like the opposite of a water meter? I’d look up that trough then the tool

Those are same as water troughs we use to flush our motors. A really wide flat head screw driver should do it

Lots of different work around but if you want the actual tool it would probably looks like similar to this.
