Supposed to be good, but I wouldn't buy boots without trying them on

I have a pair of Thorogood combat boots, NIB. Seem very well constructed. I guess I'd have to wear them to really judge. I'm not really familiar with the brand beyond that.

Got these as my most recent work boots. I have really enjoyed them, possibly my favorite pair of work boots over the past few years.

They are really well made, and great if you spend a lot of time walking on concrete or steel. The tops do rub my calves and shins a bit though.

Bought a pair of lace up non steel toe for all around work boots. Wore them in South Dakota pheasant hunting and put about 30 miles on them in 5 days and wear them pretty often. Very well made and comfortable. I got the stitched moccasin toe with the wedge sole, If I were to order again I would get the classic toe with heeled sole.

The white soles don't stay white long.

What ever brand you buy just be sure and not pull your jeans over the boot like its suppose to be. You want to give the impression you DGAF about following the mans rules. Might get some dirt in them because now everything that hits your pant leg fall directing down into the boot. Thats a small price to pay for looking like da bauce.

You are correct it only takes about a week before you don't notice the white walls.
Regardless, imo they are one of the best work boots I've worn to date.

They do make a black sole version but nobody carries it locally .
