Any fans of these? There's a few in stock at Smokey Mountain Guns w/$50 rebates. Seems like a good deal for now $199. Would like to have scooped up maybe a 6.5 for the hell of it.

All the reviews I've read say they are extremely accurate but I have no first hand experience.

Shot one in 308 the other day a friend just bought. The safety looks cool, the bolt was pretty tight. He had a cheap $80 scope on it and it shot pretty well at 100 yds.

My dad has this in the 6.5. 2 shots after bore sighting his at 100 yards and accurate. Then it malfunctioned. Wonder if it’s part of the recal. Sent him the link. Thanks

Shoots fair but the trigger is awful and there are no aftermarket triggers

I have one of the original TC in 270

It can be a tack driver in the right hands. I am garbage with a rifle. Or even a shotgun or pistol. My hands won't ever stop shaking

Bought one in 6.5 for rifle season this year when on sale at academy, put a vortex diamondback on it and it easily puts sub MOA groups at 100 yds. Great rifle for the money

People say the trigger is aweful but it’s not much different than my 1994 browning abolt which is a tack driver. However mcarbo has spring kits which make the trigger pull and reset sick. Pretty amazing. He has them for all different kinds of guns. For the tc compass, he offers a bench spring and a hunting spring. Both drop safe. Really makes this gun one of the best values imo
