OK builders, I made it outside yesterday afternoon. Found a few things that people left behind.
1 green lawn chair ( I think that is Boss's Dad's chair)
6 HF blue wood clamps
1 fifty foot extension 14 ga cord
Email me if it's yours to make arrangements to pick it up.
I'm still dragging and the 8 lbs of fluid weight is kicking my butt. Stab day today and that is going to help a bunch.

Got my bow/stern top plates on today. Did a total-boat sanding with 80 grit. Plastic wood puttied inside and out. Ran light bead of Lexel around interior battens just for good measure. Will be in New Orleans all weekend for another wedding. Hope to get back to work on it first of the week.

Good question roobedoo.....
How much and how many coats? Was thinkin a couple primer coats & 2-3 paint coats. Suggested type?

I put two coats of kilz primer on mine and then painted with an exterior latex for 2 coats. Then finally camo spray paint on top of that.
my base coat of paint for the camo was a pastel green/grey.
I should have used a straw color for base coat as it would have made camo easier.
Honestly, for durability, I wish I would have used an epoxy paint normally designed for fiberglass boats. I have used it in the past and it dries so hard it is damn near impossible to chip. The paint is much more expensive though.

Hey BP
So does that equate to a gallon or half gallon of paint/primer?
Thanks

Exactly what i was thinkin BP.
I was figuring a gallon of primer and a gallon n half paint.
Was gonna camo, but may just do a dark wintergreen color.

Mine took 3/4 gallon Kilz oil based primer. I made sure to really get in all the cracks and crevices with a brush
1/2 gallon extreme weather exterior latex paint
and 4 cans of various color camo spray paint

a quart will cover the whole thing once, so just adjust to how many coats you want of each
