Fish,
Been following this from the beginning and if I didn't live in Georgia and working I would have been in your yard with the rest.
The stems and plans are what I will need to get started this winter. Put a price on them and a mailing address and the check is in the mail.
Hope you're feeling better.
Hank

I see there is a lot of interest here for a set of plans. I really don't want this thread to get wacked for trying to sell something. What I will do is try to put a package together and see what it cost me plus my time and I will just give them away at my cost for a short time.

It's going to take me some time to do this. As hot as it's been getting, the heat takes a big toll on me real fast. It has gotten to the point that if I try something outside, I have to get it done before 9am. After that, I'm wiped out for the rest of the day.

For those that are interested, me email me at pirougebuild@gmail.com. I will try to see what I can do to help y'all out.

Thank BP. If they want to fine, but not expected.

Been laying in the hospital bed from 7am and I went back and read from page one.

If God is willing, come this fall, I will put on another build.

I agree with this completely...fish has been unbelieveably generous in sharing all of his knowledge and asking nothing in return all while working through some tough times of his own...

when I suggested that he sell pirogue "kits", I certainly did not mean that he provide them at his cost...

depending on your means, I would suggest sending him no less than 50 or a 100 dollars for all of his generousity...

Fish is top of the class of good people. He has taught great boat building lessons but even better what kind of person to be life lessons. For all he went thru in his condition building that pirogue for Josey's auction last Dec. , never having met him irl, Josey offered to send half of what it sold for back to Fish for his costs and time. Fish said thanks but he wanted nothing for helping . So Josey directed that 1/2 of pirogue proceeds go to mom of young girl from Dutchtown battling cancer at St. Jude from Fishfighter and El Josey Wales. He came up 9 days short of knowing 1/2 of Smack's new $2400 pirogue went to help that little girl and her mom.

I didn't know this. I just knew I had a very good feeling about your son without knowing him that he was a very good person. The world was a better place when he was here on earth and now heaven is a better place for having him.

Fish,

Is there a way you could just provide drawings/sketches and steps to the process and post it online somewhere?

Thanks

That turtle decided to hide underneath my pirogue under my carport.

Thanks fish, but I got it. I found my orbital sander and sanded down the sides, found a good paint scraper and got off most of the glue too.

I will start on the handles and finish the seat this week or next. It will get done eventually.

What kind of wood is the seat again?
