Got the Lowrance Hook2 5” installed yesterday. Looks great but having issues finding a map card. The LA1 map card does not work at all, I’m really hoping the seapickle card will work. Otherwise, it’ll be for sale soon. Lowrance never specified that the new hooks were limited on map cards they can run.

Nice! That’s a neat battery holder. Is that in the front compartment?

Yeah, I hear ya. I’ve been looking pretty hard at the Raymarine Axiom. Might just go all out and get one of those instead. The one thing I was holding back on was the early reports of people having problems getting the map cards to work correctly on them. But I believe they got it sorted out.

Not sure what I’ll get if I end up selling this one.. It’ll be back to the drawing board.

Appreciate it. I actually talked to one of those guys yesterday and he’s gonna let me try a card out this week.

For me, I've been kayak fishing for 5-6 years now. I absolutely love it, but my back doesn't. I started developing bad sciatic pain and it's gotten to the point where my back and right thigh are just absolutely on fire at about 10am. The paddle back is miserable and even the drive home is terrible. I have a history of lower back problems and it seems they've not started to affect my kayak fishing. Sucks.

Try a paddle board. It's the sitting and the angle.
I have a bad neck and prefer to stand. I can sit on my ice chest when needed.

Well damn.

I think the best option is to just go head to toe in clothes. Get a noseeum headnet for the head/face.

Meh... I prefer a spray or lotion instead of dressing head to toe when it’s 97 degrees.
