Not fishing this weekend, or next weekend, I might be able to fish the Cypremort Point tournament on 11/19.

As far as topwaters go, at one point I had 30+ topwaters that I'd bring along every single time out, now I've narrowed it down to a few favorites and go-tos, your results may vary.

Skitterwalks, gold mullet may be my favorite topwater, hot pink, and the holographic blue are in the box, and a chartreuse one.

TopDogs/SheDogs/etc, bone color, clown colored one, one with a chrome bottom/blue top.

I also murdered trout this summer using the Matrix Mullets, mostly in the pink color but keep a couple other colors on hand. Maybe it's just me but I replaced all the hardware on them, split rings and hooks, I found the hooks were too small for reds, had a split ring just plain break, and another buddy had a hook break on a trout.

Basically I keep an assortment on hand that make a variety of noise/pitch and color assortments.

Ended up with just a few keepers. Caught over a dozen trout, but most were only around 10 inches. Also several Rats and 1 small flounder. There were a ton of boats fishing the main channel and several duck hunters getting ready for next weekend.

Did you go into any of the marshes?

Does anybody know if any of the area around PAC are posted and off limits in duck season?

Talked to a guy who was cutting some marsh grass who told me he had a lease. Not that far from Eddie's. He said it opens next Saturday.

Took the kayak out in Irish Bayou. Kept 4 trout and threw back about 10. Lots of needlefish . There was almost no wind and it took us a while to find good moving water. All caught on Vudu shrimp 2 ' under a cork. Biggest trout was 18. With some cooler temps and a stronger tide I think this area will produce in the future.

That will eat just fine
we hit Vbay today
Was a slow bite in the Cove for most of the morning, water is clear and looks nice doe
4 troutzz and a couple keeper reds
Caught everything on a gulp mullet chartreuse
Wish i would have just stay in the cove but ended up trying shark bayou on a falling tide, that was a mistake but lesson learned

Tossed back bout 10 14" reds

Biggest thing in da boat today
