New personal best out of a kayak on Saturday. Saw him in about 10" of water on a grass shoreline and put a 3" gulp shrimp right on his nose. My kayak might stink for weeks now.

We had talked about an OB tournament, but haven't been able to all agree on when and where.

Our tournament director, YOURADHERE, dropped the ball on this one!!

It's kinda like jury duty, once you get involuntarily picked...you are stuck with it.

Check out Little Alabama, Big Alabama, 2 o'clock bayou, Half Moon Bayou, and there's always Lake Martin.

Check out this thread.

Thanks! I found my way to that thread without you, was just reading through some of your fishing reports. I haven't been having much luck in little alabama lately. Have you been catching?

I haven't been but one time this year. And that was several months ago. And I still haven't made it to 2 o'clock or half moon. I haven't been doing much fishing in general. Life has been hectic this year. I'll get there one day.

The only freshwater I've done is Larto. I've been only fishing the marsh.

You need to get in on the Wednesday after work tournaments I've been doing. Most of us have little freshwater experience but some good fish have been caught, I think we've given out around $800 so far too.

We've been doing Lake Martin to start, but we are switching it up, you can fish anywhere in the Henderson area for the next one(8/16). It's CPR format so there's no weighins to attend, $16 entry fee, $10 goes towards best 2 fish stringer, $5 goes towards biggest bass, $1 service charge for PayPal. Pots aren't huge but we've averaged ~10 participants so far.

Where are you launching in Henderson? What are the times?

I was going to launch at Kerns, but I've never kayak fished in Henderson before so I pretty much was going to be winging it.

However, I'll actually be in Colorado next week, so I'll be running this one while out of state, no biggie since all the fish are submitted to my phone anyway.

You can be on the water at any time, but fishing cannot start until 5pm and you can fish until safe light, you can submit fish up until 9:30pm, incase signal happens to suck. I post a 3 digit code at 4pm on the forum, you must have that code visible in any pic of a fish, most people write it on the back of their hands.

I've legitimately tried to make it to one of these and have never been able to make one. How long are you planning on doing this?
