Looking at his Facebook page probably just bought a bunch of them, looked like he had a few different "models". So yea if you have the coin to drop on a huge container full of them you could probably make a nice profit.
If you're ever bored and want to do some poking around you'd be surprised at the crap you can find on that Alibaba website. A few of these small tackle companies you see that are selling plastics are just buying them in bulk from China and rebranding them as their own stuff.

Knock off kayaks with a hobie style pedal drive. A guy was selling them on Facebook for $1150 each but I found them on Alibaba for $500 plus whatever shipping would cost to get them over here.

Someone here got a great lithium deal there. Would never work for me. I'm still waiting on the battery jumper I ordered from some foreign country. Been a while.

Anyone heard of the BOTE Lono? It’s an inflatable kayak. It’s supposed to be very rigid and strong. It also inflates in about 20 minutes from what I’ve read.
The issue with any inflatable kayak is the wind. However, fully inflated, the kayak is 61 lbs. it appears to have a lot of storage space and would probably be a comfortable ride. There is a video of a dude over 300 lbs who claims It was very stable. You can also stand up in it or use it as a paddle board.
I’m a little worried about wary hooks, catfish barbs, rocks, oyster beds. I fish the MS Coast.
I just need something which doesn’t take up much space. This kayak folds into a a bag. Transportation appears easy too. Just toss the bag in the back of your truck and roll to the launch.
Any thoughts? Reviews have been very positive, but there aren’t many.

If I don’t go with the BOTE Lono, I may get a high end pedal. I’m not trying to start a fight here over Native v. Hobie v. Jackson v. Wilderness
Overall though, the most important thing to me is how easy it is to get the boat in the water and get to fishing. If I get a rigid kayak, I don't want to get a trailer and I'll need to be able to transport it on the roof of my SUV. If it's too heavy or bulky, I feel like I won't use it much.

They make light Pedal kayaks now.
The Bote is an interesting design but just seems like it'd be odd to paddle and you don't get the ease of pedal.

That's a pretty cool idea, but that thing looks like it would be a PITA to paddle. Personally, I'd rather have to lift a heavy kayak twice each trip than fool With airing that up and repacking etc.

You fish on the MS Coast. What kayak do you have?

Jackson Cuda 12. I'm one of the rare paddlers left.

You forgot the best: Old Town. Their salty sportsman is a great looking boat. Pedals and paddles well. If you wanna go full balls, the big water pdl is absolutely fantastic.

I am in the same "boat".
So far this is what I have been looking at for car topping a pedal kayak

My Native is pretty light, but lacks the amount of open space I'd like.i have no use for covered storage areas.

On my slayer 10 I take off the hatch lid and put it in the hull as a false floor. Thats where my soft ice chest goes for food/drinks. Crate and ice chest for fish just fit in the rear.

Thanks. I'll try that.

I have an ultimate 12 footer also. No pedal drive. I like that layout most. Raise the seat and it would be nice

There is also the Crescent Ultralite. It is 49 lbs. Pretty car toppable IYAM.
I feel like a 50 lb kayak will be easy to toss on the SUV rack, pull off, toss on a tackle bag, rod and reel, and ice chest on, and go.
But can our pedal folks chime in as to just how valuable that power is? At least to me, the ability to go hands free and spend more time fishing, get to the spot faster, and reverse (especially if you're fishing structure) is invaluable. What are the lightweight pedal kayaks out there?
I'm right on the verge of getting a kayak, unless I can convince my wife (no pics) to let me get a boat, which is also possible. I just think the kayak would be much easier and faster to get on the water. Part of my interest in the inflatable BOTE Lono is it can handle two people. I could take my wife fishing, which she has started to enjoy. Anyways, now I'm just rambling because I have a nice beer buzz.
