An absolute steal. If I needed a backup I'd buy it.

I went to P&P for a little service/instructional and they helped out as usual. Picked up some local tackle including ginger avenger online spinners. He post here right?
I wanted to put my hands on a bunch of boats too just to check stuff out. Didn’t demo anything but here are some thoughts on boats I’d never seen in person.
Jackson Bite- at $799 it’s a good value boat. It’s bare bones though. That price point has come so far the last 6 years. I could see a fly fisherman liking this boat.
Vibe Seaghost 130- I was really expecting it to feel more cheap. For $999 this may be the most feature rich boat out there. I was so impressed I’m tempted getting it for a 2nd boat.
Bonafide rs 117- Another really nice sub $1k value boat. Just looking at it I have a suspicion it’s more stable than the Seaghost but a few less features. I was impressed
Bonafide ss 127- If you don’t want a pedal yak, this is the Caddy. Damn this is a nice boat. Well built and feature rich. I could imagine this being a killer river/bass boat w/a power pole and fishfinder.
Hobie Passport- Better built than I was expecting. Pressed all over it and nothing soft despite being thermoformed. The 10’6 is a little small but I bet the 12 they’re rolling out will be a great pedal price point boat. Literally no reason to get the pelican version.
Jackson Cusa FD- they told me about some changes coming that sounded cool. I think Jackson is 2-3 away from perfecting that rig and it being a top dog contender.
Still committed to my Slayer but the competition in the market has a lot of quality options out there.

They already have the 2020 Outbacks. I'm looking forward to demoing the Slayer 12.5 and the Hobie 360. Will have to borrow an Old Town to demo that.

Ya I took a close look at the Outbacks and the new kick up fins. Forgot to mention that. One concern I thought the kick up fins may have was in heavy grass but they have a tension screw that can adjust how easily they kick up depending on your needs for where you fish. Thought that was interesting.

I had read they changed the pitch and the prop blade. I think they should change the steering and the rudder as well. That up and down steering is awkward.

Got ya, they need to do something, it’s a really smooth motion to use but all in all the whole assembly is shite
I had to modify it on my Cruise
If ya turned it all the way left or right the rudder control rod would get locked in that position, 1st time my son was in it he keep going in circles

Ask YOURADHERE about the Jackson Cruise. He loves it.

I’ve upgraded my FD with the new steering, rudder, and blade and couldn’t be happier. Once I get the FlexE drive I’ll be set.

I can’t remember everything she told me but basically Jackson is taking all kinds of input and no detail is too small. They might even put some kind of foot strap deal on the pedal so you can get some of the pull too.

Their r and d department is solid. Always making changes and wanting input.

I really do want to try one again when I can make it to a Pack and Paddle demo day to try out the upgrades. I wanted to like it, I really did but the early Cruise FD I demoed was pretty rough. I didn't mind the steering, reminded me of a zero turn mower, I just couldn't overlook the inefficiency of the drive.

Any of yall use the Hobie medium fish bag? Or a different bag that will fit inside the PA’s front hatch area?
Reviews online for the Hobie bag aren’t great as far as holding ice or slight leakage, but I wanted to see if anybody here used it?

I do, it does decent. I put it on the front of my Compass(it doesn't fit correctly, it's too big) when I'll be out all day for beer/food/drinks.
I'm actually about to sell it and get the small one that fits in the front of the Compass correctly, want to buy this one?

I would be putting it inside the hatch, so I would assume it would probably do a little better there since it wouldn't have the sun beaming directly on it, right?
Does it leak? Wouldn't want the inside of the hull to smell like fish water all the time.

It leaks from the zipper area if you tilt it over, but doesn't leak if it's sitting flat as it's intended. Putting it inside would help, I guess the sun beating down on it on my bow doesn't help it much.
I'm in Lafayette, Its in good shape, shows usual wear/use. I bought it used but I've never put fish in it, just food/drinks, so it doesn't smell on the inside or anything. I can grab a few pics later on if you want. I was actually going to put it in the P&P garage sale this weekend.
