Strippers at the weigh in or captains party?

Really wish I could make this one but have an obligation that I can't get out of Saturday

The "Captains meeting" was last night at Ricks on Bourbon, the weigh in last year featured several strippers with pasties on. I wish I could've made it this year, entry was $85 but free booze until 10pm. I could've got my moneys worth.

I'd like to RSVP

We did a "recreational trip" down there through LKFC last year, I suspect the guy planning the trip was aware of the circumstances

Good seeing ya yesterday, and like lefty said bite was gone once the winds picked up around 10
Was catching 15” reds almost every other cast around the lil island behind the shrimp nets at 1st light
but managed a couple keepers and hit the marsh, found grass and bunch of it
Was a good site casting day but just couldn’t find em
Bonus floundaa on the the way in to ease my pain
Solid day all in all

I was surprised at how much grass was there compared to a month ago. I put away the soft plastics and used Topwater, Gulp and popping Cork, and Tsunami Swim Baits.

We spent the day on Toro Bayou. Rented kayaks from Tack a paw near Leesville. We got rained on, but my only wish was that the River was about 8” higher. Way to much dragging and portaging. Went about 4 1/2 miles total. First real kayaking experience in Louisiana.

We also went down yesterday. I picked up 3 nice reds and could have had a limit if we stayed all day. The bite was later for us. Picked up around 11. Used Berkeley shrimp under a popping cork.

Used the exact same set up. Used the New Penny color shrimp.
