Thanks man. It's been tough. My family and I are really struggling right now. Never had to put a pet down before. Definitely one of the hardest things I've ever had to do.

Sorry to hear about the pup, you didn't miss much. I skunked along with a ton of others, it was a pretty tough day.

Sounds just like last yr, y’all should really consider moving that to somewhere else, hell thats the tourney that made me say “I’m not paying for this shite again”

I got to fish a little Friday and saw lots of reds. The water was dirty and couldn't get them to hit anything.

Any tips for my first time fishing from a kayak? Going to take that beautiful new (well, new to me) Predator out and while I've kayaked before, I've never fished from one.

Obviously the most important thing I would say is just to be safe, wear your vest
take your time maybe and find some spots that don’t have a lot moving water or current get to know the boat before you take any real long trips solo
As far as fishing goes for me it’s all about the layout and being able to get to your rods, fishing tackle any other gear that you might need
Simplicity is ya friend, where ya thinking about going?

To start, Manchac, since it's waters I know. Will probably stick to the canals and not one of the lakes until I get comfortable with fishing out of the yak

Hopedale is calling my name. Either that or west MS this weekend. Anybody else fishing?

I like to launch on 51 closer to laplace. Go across to the oilfield canals. Lots of bream in there.

Hopedale Marina but I’ve done Pips too. I like both places. The yak launch at HM is really nice. Plus bait, ice, and tackle right there too.

Yea. That little shell launch. That area stays a little cleaner to me. Go way back those canals water is nice

I'm gonna head down the south llano soon if any OBs wanna come. After the flood this past year I'm curious to see how the river has changed.

Took my bro-in-law on his first marsh yak trip to Hopedale. Windy as hell, dirty water, rained on twice, covered almost 8 miles and nothing. I had 1 bull break off. We drove back and decided to put back in in MS (west side) and found some fish. My bil thinks BSL is awesome and Hopedale sucks
