I have one also. Not the Frontier though, I'm a big ole boy also and like the room. Mine weighs in at 98 lbs. with nothing in it.

I have it rigged with trolling motor and rudder peddles. Go to www.bassyaks.com for great ideas on how to rig for trolling motors if you are looking for a complete yak fishing platform. Their accessory kits are pricey, but you have to remember, they are using Minn Kota Maxxum motors

Joined Team Ascend last week and have a few questions.

I drive from BR to Norco every day and see several spots on I10, starting around sorrento, that look like good places to put in. Are there any problems with parking on the side of the interstate and slipping the yak off into the water?

Anxiously awaiting this 7-10 schedule to end so I can get on the water.

Thanks

Surf to Summit GTS Elite. Its more expensive than I thought at $150, but looks like the only aftemarket seat worth the buy.

Really HATE to bump this thread but I'm looking for spots to take people out on kayaks around the BR area. preferably a river where we can get some miles in I guess.

Where is this?

quote:

Amite River: Launch near Woodlake Road...pick up somewhere near Hoo Shoo Too or Freds.

I live off of Hoo Shoo Too so I can figure out that part.

Maybe that bridge on Woodlake that crosses over that other small river that leads to the Amite?

Looking on the map, that looks like a launch spot on either side of the road at the bridge.

If you're asking where the road itself is, a simple google search returns this.

The point it gives you just so happens to be at the bridge.

Why do you HATE bumping my thread?
