Nice terp. She looks to still be fairly young since her carapace hasn't smoothed out much yet.

Beautiful Indigo Teague!

Low and behold found this beauty in the yard this morning. It's been 2 years or so since one has wandered on the property. Got the adrenaline flowing. Very difficult to see in the shade and she was trying to stay hidden.

Wow, I'd love to see something like that.

Basilisk lizard in Costa Rica:

Some Marine Iguanas in the Galapagos. They are the only lizard that go into the ocean to feed (on algae).

Rattlesnake in Arizona. Diamondback I suppose?

Eastern diamondback is on my bucket list of wild snakes to find. Great find, Frenchjoe.

Also, I'm happy to see so many photos in this thread and so many who appreciate the less popular wildlife.

I wish I had a camera for pics when I was growing up. The wife is petrified of snakes so I haven't kept any in about 15 years. Fish turtles and dogs now

Wish I had time to contribute pics to this thread. Just been busy. I've been in the reptile trade for 20 years now. I've had so many species, it'd take me a day to list. Now I only have a few beardeds, ghost corn, okeetee corn, 4 red foot tortoises, crested gecko, blue tongued skink and a Mexican red knee tarantula that I raised from a 1/4". Bred corn snakes for fun in college.I had a 125 gallon setup with 10 carpet chameleons that may have been my favorite. Cook's Tree Boas were always interesting. Some mean bastards. I'm actually more of a fish geek. I guess when reptiles is part of your job, you want to get away from it after hours. I'll try to post pics at some point.

That's how I felt when I was working the lfs. Last thing I felt like doing sometimes was more water changes when I got home

Here's my female RES, she claimed out my pond to lay some eggs in the garden. She didn't lay them that time that I could see but she got in and out a bunch during the day while I was at work. I'll see in 60-90 days if I see any babies.

Fat little tree frog on my back door and some photo editing on the phone.

Dekay's that I found in the empty lot next to my house last summer.

At my old house one day my daughter (5 at the time) ran in the house about 2 pm daddy daddy there's a snake outside....or a worm...and its eating a rat! I was like wtf...ran out and sure enough in broad daylight in the middle of my yard this rat snake is doing what they do best. It got scare and spit it out and took off. Looks to be about 4' (using fence boards). What do y'all think Texas or grey rat...I was thinking grey but not sure the redish/orange between the scales is making me second guess??

At the same house I was reaching behind a bush in the front to turn on a hose and I was met eye to eye with this fine little guy. I really wish I could have kept this one. Thinking gray rat on this one...that's why I think the big one is a grey too all in the same area.

I was setting up a fish tank at my old house (same one from above) and I had some rocks on my front porch so I was going back and forth with the door open. One trip back to the front and this little guy was chilling out.

I think a rough earth snake "Virginia striatula"? Also had a red spider mite on the head.

Yea I thought it was pretty neat becasue of where they were. In the middle of the day in a yard there was that rat and that snake in the same area. Not like the snake drug it out there from the shed or something. Just couldn't believe they happen to be so out in the open at the same time mid day. That house backed up to a sugar cane field...saw a lot of snakes around it but never any poisonous ones.

This guy walked into my warehouse at work...not sure what it was but consensus was a really really old RES that lost its pigmentation. Still not sure on that.

I could really flood the thread with pictures of Diamond-backed Terrapin, but I'll refrain for the most part.

Hatchling Diamond-backed Terrapin

Gulf saltmarsh watersnake

Some sort of Cooter, probaly a River if I were to guess. Didn't do a good job of IDing.

Western Diamond-backed Rattlesnake.

Hatchling Mississippi Map Turtle.

Red-eared Slider female looking for a place to lay eggs in a flowerbed.

Terrible picture of a Texas Cooter caught while snorkling for turtles.

Green Anole

Two Brown Anoles squaring off.

Juvenile Kemp's Ridley Sea Turtle.

Couple of juvenile Green Sea Turtles.

A very purple colored fiddler crab.

Purple Marsh Crab.

Houston Toads at the Houston Zoo breeding facility.

Any of you snake experts have a guess on this guy? Found it washed up, dead down in the Baffin Bay area of Texas.

All pics are with an iPhone, so apologies if shitty quality.
