Think the same one came around yesterday 3/31, and taste-tested all feeders, but has disappeared again. May be waiting on the ladies?
Feel like I'm overdoing it with 3 large and a single feeder, but want them to identify the paradise, and attract as many as possible.

So when do they get to mobile. I put out feeder weeks ago

There should be some in Mobile by now. I'm in the Florida panhandle, this morning I had 4 fighting over the front feeders. Usually one or two hanging around my back feeders.
All males still, the females should be here soon. The numbers are still going up as migrants arrive. That will continue through the month of April.
I've been a hummingbird nut since seeing them in Colorado as a kid. We'd go out every summer to Estes Park and I was in charge of feeding them. There are some incredible ones down in Central and South America, I've spent hours at a time watching them down there.

Saw first 2 birds 2 weeks ago, then they vanished. Saw one yesterday and today have 3 buzzing around. Hoping for more!

I had 2 today. I'm in the Hammond area. Both were red headed males

Saw one a day after putting up a couple of feeders and saw a two more a few days later.
My dad got surprise but it wasn't hummingbird related. Saw the following in one of the stake pockets in the bed of his truck:
Then the following day:
Parents started watching and turned out to be an Eastern bluebird. He had to go to the store and after he got back, he later checked it again then saw a fifth egg. Checked later, the eggs and nest were gone. The bluebird parents packed up their eggs and left

I saw my first male Ruby Throat today in downtown Lake Charles. I quickly refreshed the nectar and he was still around this afternoon.
Thanks for the photos!
The wife and I went to Costa Rica for our honeymoon in October of 2015. I brought my Bird ID book with me and tried to keep track of the different species of all birds I saw. I literally gave up on the hummingbirds because there were so many and they are so fast it was hard to make a positive ID.
It was incredible though.

Enjoy the truck snake.
Seriously though, all these reports and I have yet to see one at my house. I pulled out my mom's feeders and got her all set out a little over a week ago. She called me the next morning after seeing 2.

I'm in Houston and haven't seen but 2 or 3 in the last month. What could I be doing wrong?

my feeder is pretty slow this year, too. It is pretty faded, so I think I will repaint the red parts this weekend to see if business picks up a little.
