I am taking my FIL and BIL marsh fishing in November. I am looking for a nice rental with water access in Terrebonne parish.

I have seen a few on VRBO but I am leaning towards staying at CoCo Marina for simple ease.

Am I missing a good rental out there that is not on VRBO or a place like the rentals at CoCo?

I used to own a camp at Fisherman’s Retreat so I know the water around there fairly well … so something in or near Terrebonne is my goal.

My FIL is 78.

I appreciate any opinions.

I did not know that … so that helps a lot with what I’m looking for then.

Thank you.

Have a good one.

Coco is perfect for what you are looking for. Grab a bushwacker at the bar.

sorry, i wouldn't want to support the pedo that owns the place. if i were going to stay down on the bayou, id rather support someone on VRBO.

I don’t think he’s too worried about ROI.

looks like no one is listening to you, bro….

Maybe if you could tell the OP a better place to stay, that would be a better strategy!

Yup like one said. New ownership completely re done the place and is also renovating the rentals.

Resturant is amazingly good! Brand new launch at the end and a fuel barge and store also.

All that is for him is a much needed tax write off. I know two of the charter captains that work there and yes he has not been an upstanding citizen but they say he is great to work for a whatever is needed shows up the next day.

He has also bought several other properties in Chauvin and Cocodire and is trying to pump some life back into the bayou.

There is a great Airbnb on Bayou Terrebonne south of Montegut. There are 2….or more and this one is a yellow house. Super clean and nice with great dock.

Yes, Benny bought the old store and is going to turn it into a museum of sorts. Believe he may even open a new store bait/tackle/ice and some sort of grocery.
