Termites in my boat. Scrap or save?

So, I haven't used my boat in a couple years. Started it up and it runs decent (needs a new water pump and probably the carbs cleaned out). Then I noticed the termites. The back deck over the batteries and the front deck where the trolling motor mounts are just fiberglass now, woods completely gone. The floor seems solid and the transom does, as well (though I don't really know how to check the transom properly).
My question is, is it worth the trouble to replace the eaten wood and hope there's no real important damage, or should I just sell/give it away?

There will be. If you want to be thorough you cut the deck open and check the stringers. Better check the transom as well. I imagine if the front bulkhead area is wood then the stringers and transom are rotted or eaten through as well. You can still rebuild the transom, stringers, and bulkhead but it would have to be a sweetheart of a hull to go through all that.

How would I go about properly checking the transom?
Also, the wood where the door goes to the area under the front deck is completely untouched. Should that inspire hope?

See if it will flex. Trim motor up and try to lift or push down on lower unit.

can it be saved? can it be fixed?
yes, yes it can and it might only cost you $2k more then a new boat would after they spend 6 months rebuilding it from the bare hull up
just buy another boat, that thing is way way passed the point of putting money into fixing it
if it were me i would sell it as-is and find a deal on a used boat ready to fish
if money is really tight this one is for sale on facebook marketplace in livingston for $720
Boat and trailer for sail. No motor on boat. Trailer is in great shape! Have title on boat. No paperwork on trailer but could probably get it

Would you buy it in that condition?
Someone might buy the trailer and engine but project boats only sell if it's an incredibly sought after hull.
Maybe it has nostalgic value to OP. Who knows.

if i needed a motor or trailer yes
when i say sell it as-is its common sense the boat is free and just junk and your only buying a trailer and motor
im just thinking he said the motor needs some TLC as well so just sell the whole thing and try to see if you can get $500- $800 for it to put towards another boat

Well, I went and tightened down the bolts holding the motor to the transom and the washers started to sink into the wood. My guess is that means the wood is soft and I have no desire to put too much into it. I'll probably just donate it to Volunteers of America or something. They can at least rebuild the carbs and replace the water pump and have a nice motor and trailer.
Thanks to everyone for their replies.

That sucks.. What was the make and how old?

Bay Hawk 19' Center Console. The motor is 1998, I forget what year the hull is. It's somewhere around that time.
It seems to be just the top portion around where the bolts go through that seems a little soft. I'm thinking of renting a cherry picker, pull the motor off, and see if it's really soft. The flooring feels good and solid. Though, obviously I'm unsure about the stringers. I might look into repairing it, it's a nice enough boat and I enjoyed it when I used it. I can't decide.

Yeah I think Keaker and Flats had the right idea. You will be able to buy something else in serviceable condition for less than the price to re-do all the eaten out wood in your boat. Maybe keep the trailer or try to sell trailer and hope someone will haul the boat off for you.

You should be able to tell by just knocking on it and how/if the motor moves when stressed. Also, you can drill into the transom from the inside and get a pretty good idea of the condition. My guess is you need a new transom and stringers. Silverlining, let the termintes do their thing for a few more years and if they get all the wood out for you then you can just pour Seacast in the voids where the wood was.

How did they get in the boat? Do you see tunnels going up the trailer? Can they drop in while swarming in the Spring?
