It doesnt get more relaxing or productive than Grosse Savanne. You will catch all the bass you want and some crappie as well.

Forgot about them. Yep, they are world class. I know one of the 2020 hurricanes took out their main lodge but I think they have re-built and yes, that bass pond is off the hook. So is their little marsh as well. All the Reds you want to catch.

My folks have a place in Hardy on the Spring, I go over as much as possible.

I've been trying to catch a tiger muskie there for several years. Apparently Game and Fish put some carp or suckers in either Mammoth spring or the hatchery to clean up algae. A flood came through and washed them into the main river. In response they put tiger muskie to kill all the carp

OZK. I've heard there use to be some Tiger Muskie in there but I've never seen any. Have you ever fished with Mark Crawford? I've floated with him a few times and always a great trip. I fish Bayou Access mostly, and last few years we have rented a house just below dam 3 and the kids have a ball catching trout and playing in water. I am in Jonesboro so it doesn't take long to get there and once the bass slow down I sneak away on some afternoons during week and go.

Lake Texoma might be in your range. The striper fishery is the only one of its kind in the United States.

And every single time you drift for catfish on that lake, you have a chance at a record setting blue cat.

I've only bought flies from Mark, his shop is cool. I mainly float with a guy named Brian, he also has a bbq truck in Hardy. I've been fishing the south fork for smallmouth more recently. There's plenty of 16"+ fish in there

The most fun I have ever had with a jerk bait (more like a dozen jerk baits) is fishing under the trees on the Little Red when it was 100 degrees and they were running water.

With the hot weather moving in next week, I expect they will be running water for long periods this week. They have been running 2 units from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. even the past could of days.

We're floating in canoes from Dripping Springs to Hwy. 305 on Saturday. We are going to try to get on the river well before the water makes to to the put-in, but I expect it to catch us by early afternoon. What jerk baits or hard baits have you used?

Thank you!
