Sweaty bird problem

While sweating my arse off, my sweat is being transferred to the doves in my game vest back pocket. I take them out to pluck them and they are all full of my sweat and ugly looking.
What do yall recommend for a vest that might breath better contributing to less sweat, and more importantly preventing sweat transferred to the dove feathers?

Place them in a walmart bag then place on ice in a ice chest. Hope you take better care of a deer that you harvest.

Game bag belt. Less contact to body.

I can remember Dad and other family checking to be sure they had plastic bags to put small game/foul into before stuffing it in the pocket.
They preferred the long sleeve ones that newspapers delivery used for rainy weather. Since nobody gets newspaper deliveries anymore you could look for umbrella bags.
The sleeve nature of the bag allowed for the harvest to go in and leave room to twist or wrap the bag easily. Kept the harvest from bleeding out in the pocket and kept rain/sweat away from it.

I still use a bread bag, simply because that’s what my pow pow used to do when he hunted small game/birds. Not quite as noisy as a Walmart bag.

Get yourself a game belt.
Game winner has one for $12

Or next time you pass by one of those automatic ice machines make a circle around it and you'll pick up 10-12 empty ice bags that lazy mfers put on the bollards surrounding the machines instead of throwing them in the trash. I have stacks of them I use for all kinds of stuff.

Important question: does the camo pattern of your vest match the rest of your outfit?

Plastic bags are going to trap heat so I wouldn’t mess with that. Even in an ice chest, you can spoil birds if you have enough of them in the same bag.
Aside from finding a vest with a water resistant game bag, you could use a bag or bucket to put them in.
Either way, sweaty birds don’t seem like that big of an issue to me.
