That thing looks like a beast!

Corvette engine in a swamp boat? I would kill myself.

If you want to see the commercial for banning surface drives and the damage they do. Just watch the swamp shark commercial on YouTube.

Dude destroys a bunch of Marsh in the commercial.

Yep. Those and "mud runs" with surface drives.

Blatant stupidity when it comes to environmental stewardship.

That's kind of an oxymoronic term in S. La.

should be the poster child for the pro-gates crowd that wants to gate off canals, marsh, etc.

I don't like gates, but even I think that should be a major fine/confiscation of the boat

At the 34 second mark you can hear him say “oh shite” as he almost hits a tree and then crashed into a bunch of other shite to his left

I have mixed thoughts on the gates, but I would be so fricking mad if some a-hole was running around my place in something like this. and that's (part of) the issue. It only takes one fricktard like this in one of these to go exploring on someone's property and the anti-gate crowd loses the argument.

And you can't keep assholes from buying a Swamp Shark, so its gonna happen. Just like with four-wheelers.

That boat is an a-hole.

Anyone that would buy one and run it in a swamp like that is a bigger a-hole.

It's meant for law/military use. Your average duck commander wont nearly be able to afford one. That's probably a $200k boat.

Good on them if they price them so that most civilians can’t afford one. Looks like a recipe for disaster in a weekend warrior’s hands.

200k wouldn't be a huge margin on that thing. The engine/gear/outdrive is probably 75k before you even talk about the hull and its cooling system. That's a complex rig. You wont see them flying all over the marsh.

Really badass boat. Overkill, but they’re after the military and law enforcement sector and these boats could fit really well. Imagine a .50 cal mounted on one of these.

Side note, I’ve been keeping an eye on Metal Shark boats and they’ve been making moves. Last several years they’ve been building huge ferry boats for customers all over the US and just recently aquired a pretty big shipyard somewhere in Alabama where they plan to build tug and crew boats.

Metal Shark is killing it lately. I've had the pleasure of dealing with them a good bit and they are a fantastic company to work with/for. Great people with great vision and they still maintain a good personal relationship with the customer like any good marine business should.
