Buy em at Walmart and in 11 months take it back and tell em it don't work anymore. Folks working back there don't even check em. They just see the 12 month warranty and give u a new one. I'm on about #8 right now.

I bought 2 last year at Walmart but they were out of the big ones but that's a great idea. May bring em back and try to upgrade sizes

Sam Walton has billions. I don't think a 80 dollar battery once a year is gonna hurt his future. Plus if I couldn't fish I wouldn't come to his store and buy tons of baits.

Great mindset. IMO stealing from the rich should be legal!

What's this guy stealing? He said he was exchanging his old one. If the Walmart employees make the exchange then what's the problem?

Real sound reasoning there. *shakes head*

He's telling them they don't work when they likely do. The employees don't check!

Del Star 31 at wholesale battery co
I've ran them for 10+ years (with no failures(different sets of course)
They were $80-$90 with core change.
I've been told they use the old Delco Voyager manufacturer and sell them with the Del Star label.

You really think this hits Walmarts budget?

No, they'll bill the supplier for the return and hold them accountable. Enough of these and they will remove or replace the item.

That happens, and a huge chunk of the supplier's business goes away and people lose jobs.

Bluetops suck anyways, Sears Diehard Platinums are the best besides actual odysseys. But they[sears] are still $150-200.

If you want a cheaper battery just pick one with the best warranty and the most locations. Most batteries come from just a few plants and are all the same. You are paying for the brand/warranty/service.

Costco and Walmart have easy return processes but the warranties are just 1 year. Also check what type of warranty(replacement vs prorate)

my boat has a pair from batteries plus right now believe it or not they are 4-5 years old. When they die I plan to replace with interstate. FYI Costco has them for about 100 a piece or less.

My wifes cousin runs a route for a big battery company. He said they all the same, get whatever is cheaper. There's only 2 or 3 battery manufacturers left in the US.

Bluetops suck anyways,
i'm gonna have to call bullshite on this. A sealed gel battery is much better than any unsealed lead core battery. The shock on trailering a boat and rough waters is usually what kills a battery. It causes one of the plate cells to come dislodged and short out the battery. That plus they vent causing corrosion to the terminals.
Why would you say a sealed gel battery sucks? My buddy has been running 3 of the blue tops in his Skeeter for well over 5 years and they have been unbelievable. He runs a Minn Kota I pilot 36 volt with them. Easily fish 2 whole days in tough winds without ever charging them and they've never let us down. I had some contact a while back that dude was selling me the D31M's for $150 each brand new in the box. Don't know where he was getting them from and didn't care.
