Bump Dammit...
Need to put GLOCK vs. 1911 in the thread title. I have the Brownell's page open, ready to buy some. I have a call in to an NRA Lobbyist in DC that I went to school with....damn the anxiety.

Stamped!

Like previously stated up there^^^, forged lowers are not all that different. The main component in a lower that makes all the difference is the trigger. For me, that's about as far as it goes.

Get on it!!!

So lowers will be a pretty penny if this ban goes through?

Yup, Like I stated, they are pretty much the same, besides the markings. Most all come out of only 4 different plants. Basicaly when buying a forged lower, pick which one has the markings you think looks better, or as we are seeing now, which ever one you can actualy buy

Put simply, yes, because the lower receiver is considered the weapon. This could be grandfathered in if such thing is an option.

You think he'll tax you extra for it?

Call local gun stores and see what their "transfer fee" is. Then ask if they will receive the transfer and they will give you directions of what to get from the seller. It's a painless process.

Call any of your local shops, they almost all do it.

Brownells is a big outfit. They may have a local on file already. Otherwise pick your favorite dealer/gunshop/ect and have him send them his FFL. He'll charge you for it, but so what.
