What insurance company, agree value or acv? Hull/Trailer value isn’t going to be very much without motor and they won’t get much after expenses at auction. My money is on them paying you and letting you keep Boat/Trailer.

They dont send to auction, they just sell to salvage companies who then auction or part them out. Majority of the time, They will have a bid, OP will have a chance to pay that amount or slightly less if he wants it.

Or shop it out to local used boat dealers.

dealer pays ins. carrier $1k. and sells hull and trailer for $1.5k (or some other amount)

A man can dream. It was insured under agreed value. I'm trying to see if the trailer was included in that or if I have some wiggle room.

Typically, agreed value separates the trailer and hull/motor. You should be fine, what's the adjuster telling you? Has your agent been involved and how is ya'lls relationship?
