yes and no.
lots do this, lots don't. when we did it, we would put them in a separate tank and make soft shell crabs to freeze.

but the current process of zero actual harvest restriction has long since been past it's time.

I wonder what changing the commercial harvest from #2 minimum to #1 would do to the numbers. I wonder if by making that change if more crabs would be shipped to the NE and Louisiana would just end up with less crabs on the market. I prefer to pay a little more for the larger crabs, there is so much more meat, plus females would spawn more.
